Poke Masters, listen up! There is another update coming to the beloved Pokemon GO game, and HollywoodLife.com has EVERYTHING you need to know. Click inside for the details!
If you were bummed that the “nearby” feature on Pokemon GO didn’t exactly help you find Pokemon, then you are in luck! Niantic is testing out a brand new “tracking” feature that will not only let you know which Pokemon are nearby, but will even share exactly where you can find them, reports Kokatu. Yes, really!
The new tracking update now shows you Pokemon that are both “nearby” and have had recent “sightings.” Under nearby you will see the Pokemon as well as the picture used for the Pokestop it was last seen at. When you click on the icon, it will show you on the map exactly where that Pokestop is located. How cool is that?
As for what will appear on under “sightings,” you will see Pokemon in the grass that have actually been seen in your general area. However, it will be up to you to locate that Pokemon if it’s still around.
Other updates were also added to the game, including a warning that you should not drive and play when you appear to be moving to fast. Players will now have to confirm they are not actually driving in order to continue, by clicking a button that says “I’m a passenger.”
Players should also be able to update their nicknames, though you can only do it once. The app updates even say, “please choose your nickname wisely.” Touche, Pokemon GO!
