The guys of N’SYNC always say one thing when asked about a reunion: ‘Ask Justin.’ Well it looks like they made it happen — and there’s an adorable photo to prove it. This I promise you.
There are definitely strings attached. Justin Timberlake and the band got back together on August 8 to celebrate the 40h birthday of JC Chasez! And we all know — pic or it didn’t happen — so naturally, he posted one.
In it, Justin and JC are with the three other OG members: Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick! The band that split in 2002 will actually be getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017, so we have a feeling we’ll definitely be seeing them together again soon. (A girl can hope, right?)
“Everyone [in NYSNC] thinks that it’s cool that they have been nominated for a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, and would love to go through with the honor, but they want to surround it around a milestone. The next milestone they have is a few years down the line (2020) for their 25th Anniversary,” an insider recently told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
We also recently chatted with Joey about the possibility of getting the band back together, and he was all for it. “We never really talk about it that much,” Joey said on our podcast. “Every once in a while we say it would be cool, but it’s a matter of getting everyone’s schedules together. If I were to write something, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask the guys to put their vocals on it.”
The five guys were last seen together in 2013, when they joined together for a 90-second performance at the MTV VMAs, when Justin won the Video Vanguard Award.
Well for now, this will have to suffice (and oh how it does.)
