You think you know, but you have no idea. That’s the case with Ryan Murphy’s season six of ‘American Horror Story.’ The CEO of FX just revealed why this season is being kept so mum.
“They’ve made many more trailers than you’ve actually seen,” FX Networks’ CEO John Landgraf said at the Television Critics Association’s summer tour on Aug 9. With that being said, he also said that the amount of America Horror Story trailers that have come out is all part of the plan. “One of them is accurate and the others are all misdirect,” he explained.
So, why hasn’t it been revealed yet? Well, “we think it will be fun for the audience to have a surprise this year,” he said. However, he did confirm that “there is a theme and a setting and a place and time.”
Of course — we’ve seen six so far, all equally creepy and all very misleading. We’re not sure at all what the theme is but the theories have spread. One of the most popular being that this story is based around the demon baby in season one, especially after seeing the mobile filled with weapons. However, another lands within the story of Charles Manson — many think that‘s why Evan Peters has that crazy beard for filming.
Landgraf also touched on the possible end of the series — and it’s not happening anytime soon.
“All good things must come to an end, but, so far, as long as Ryan [Murphy] keeps coming up inventive and original new ideas, [we] can keep going,” he said, adding that Ryan’s imagination seems endless. “It’s only the limits of the stories in [his] imagination. Only time will tell.”
So, what theme do you think is the real one, HollywoodLifers?
