Well, this is music to our ears. HollywoodLife.com has learned that the NFL is pushing hard for Adele to perform at Super Bowl 51 — all the ‘Send Your Love’ singer has to do is say YES! Find out why the League is pulling out all the stops to try and book the British superstar as the halftime act.
Rumor has it that Adele, 28, will perform at next year’s Super Bowl, and a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that it’s basically happening! “The talks are true. What started as an inquiry on the National Anthem changed to the halftime show real fast. They want her to do it because everyone respects her talents and viewers would love to have some alternate programming from the game,” the insider reveals. Yep, it sure was nice to have some girl power in the form of Beyonce at last year’s Super Bowl! “Adele would be a win-win,” the source declares, and we totally agree.
So if the “Hello” singer is on board, what’s in store for the performance? “It’s highly likely that she would do the show with others, and possibly do covers as well to make it incredible,” the insider adds. We can totally see Adele being backed by a big band for her anthemic hits, and the list of our dream collaborations is endless! Beyonce teamed up with Coldplay and Bruno Mars last year, so a team effort seems inevitable.
Finally, the source shares that the NFL wants to lock Adele in by Thanksgiving, so there’s plenty of time to work out the logistics before the huge event in Feb. “Adele is the first choice and the only choice at this time,” the source concludes. “If she says ‘yes’, it is hers!”
HollywoodLifers, are you pumped that Adele is the number one choice for the halftime performer at the 2017 Super Bowl? What would you love to see at the show?
