Game over. Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, has dropped from his college football team yet again. Keep reading for all the details as to why the student athlete has decided not to catch balls for UCLA.
Cordell Broadus, 19, Snoop Dogg‘s son, has quit the UCLA football team a second time before the 2016 season begins. This comes after rejoining the squad and trying to make it on as a walk-on. Cordell quit once before in 2015 giving up the scholarship he received to play with the team. Sources connected to Cordell tell TMZ that his, “head wasn’t completely in it and he recently decided to leave the program, again.” Bummer.
Cordell was scouted by UCLA, a top college football program in the country, a couple of years ago and was signed to play with the team as a wide receiver in 2015. After he quit the first time, “he rejoined back in March saying he, ‘missed the game’ and wanted to earn his spot back,” says the report by TMZ. Cordell’s back and forth with the team must be challenging for Snoop to deal with as he has always been a huge football fan.
Cordell, a UCLA film major who helps produce movies for the school’s YouTube channel, may have a career outside of football should he continue to pursue movie making. “He’s also modeling and pushing an underwear line,” according to the report. So he has many things to keep him busy off the field.
Also in Cordell’s defense, he is a fairly successful model. In June 2016, the rapper’s hunky son signed to the well established agency, Wilhelmina models. Whatever Cordell decides to do in his future, he is sure be successful as he will no doubt have the love and support of his superstar rapping father Snoop.
