Lindsay Lohan is speaking out about her volatile relationship with Egor Tarabasov, that she has alleged got abusive. Lindsay has left her ex-fiancé for good, because she can’t stay with someone who’s hit her. She’s finally putting herself first.
Lindsay Lohan, 30, spoke to Daily Mail about why she’s leaving her fiancé, Egor Tarabasov, and refuses to take him back. The actress publicly shamed the man she was supposed to marry for allegedly cheating on her and increasingly becoming violent. Police were called to their London home on July 24 after she screamed that he was strangling her, and photos surfaced from a vacation in Mykonos, in which Egor seemed to be handling Lindsay roughly. Lindsay said she’s not taking it anymore, and alleged that he’s even hit her.
“I realize now you can’t stay in a relationship just for love. No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn’t prepared to say sorry,” Lindsay told Daily Mail. “I haven’t taken [my engagement ring] off, even after all this. The truth is, I wanted to make things work, but now I’m not sure that I can. I genuinely fell in love with him but he broke my trust and made me feel unsafe.
‘I know I’m not an angel but I’ve tried to fix things. It’s down to him now. I had suggested we go for couples’ counseling, but there comes a time when I have to put myself first, my family, and also think about my career which I’ve worked so hard for. I also don’t want to let my fans down by not being the strong woman I have become.”
HollywoodLifers, we’re so happy for Lindsay! Aren’t you glad that she finally left Egor, too? Wish her well in the comments!
