Huge congratulations are in order for Caterina Scorsone and her husband, Rob Giles, who are expecting their second child together! The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star revealed the happy news on Aug. 4 and we are so thrilled for her growing fam! Get all the sweet details below.
Caterina Scorsone, 34, who is best known for playing Amelia Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy, revealed on Aug. 4 that she’s expecting her second child with her hubby of seven years, Rob Giles! But after all, the mom-to-be really had no choice as she stepped out at a Television Critics Association event sporting a very visible baby bump! As she walked the red carpet it was MORE than apparent that she had a bun in the oven, which she ended up speaking to reporters about.
“[We’re] very, very excited,” Caterina told Entertainment Tonight at the TCA party. But of course Grey’s fans are wondering what this all means for the next season of the hit medical drama, as the actress revealed that she’s actually due in the middle of production! “We’re picking up the season immediately after we left off, which was the wedding where Amelia was not pregnant,” the mom-to-be shared, adding there’ll be “very fancy footwork for the director of photography.”

But even cuter? Caterina is already a mom to 4-year-old daughter Eliza, whom she and husband Rob Giles welcomed in July 2012. And NOW little Eliza will get to be a big sister — SO sweet! And although the actress and Rob already know the sex of their newest little one, they’ve decided to keep that info private for now.
Once Caterina announced the happy news of her pregnancy though, fans couldn’t resist flooding her Instagram page with their messages of congratulations. “I hear congratulations are in order!!!! God bless you and your family!! 😙😙,” one commenter wrote. Another gushed, “Congratulations Caterina!!!! You are my favorite. Love you.” Aw!
