OMG! Angelina Jolie has officially signed on to become a professor at Georgetown University this fall! So what exactly will the actress be teaching students? We’ve got all the details on her lesson plans, HERE!
Georgetown University students will likely be more excited than EVER to head back to school next semester since Angelina Jolie, 41, will be teaching at the Washington D.C. based college. The actress will be filling a guest spot, according to US Weekly, and is set to share her knowledge on the world in “lectures, workshops and research focused on women, peace and security.” So impressive! Angelina previously signed on to be a visiting professor at the London School of Economics this fall and was invited to do the same spot at it’s sister school, Georgetown.
Melanne Verveer, the executive director of the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security voiced her excitement to recruit the By The Sea star, “I was pleased to meet with Angelina during my recent trip to London [in May] on ways we at Georgetown University can continue the collaboration between our sister programs.”
Angelina was also enthusiastic about the opportunity, “I am looking forward to teaching and learning from the students, as well as to sharing my own experiences of working alongside governments and the United Nations.” She added, “It is vital that we broaden the discussion on how to advance women’s rights and end impunity for crimes that disproportionately affect women.”
We think Angelina would be a spectacular professor, especially considering the fact she is a mother-of-six. In July, reports surfaced that she and Brad Pitt, 52, were adopting a seventh child to help mend their alleged marital troubles. Brad and Angie are AMAZING parents, so we’re sure they would make another child very happy! In the mean time, she can look forward to teaching and inspiring some scholars!
