She may be happily in love with Blake Shelton now, but there was a months-long period when Gwen Stefani was in her own personal hell. The singer dishes on getting through her divorce after Gavin Rossdale’s alleged affair in a new interview, and it’s beyond heartbreaking.
Gwen Stefani, 46, has never flat-out said that Gavin Rossdale, 50, cheated on her, but she does admit to Cosmopolitan, “All you have to do is listen to every single song I’ve ever written and it’s all there.” Well, one run-through of This Is What The Truth Feels Like can pretty much confirm the allegations about Gavin’s infidelity, but the 46-year-old says we’ll never know exactly what went on.
“Nobody except for my parents, the people involved and whoever they told [will know the whole truth],” she tells the mag. “Nobody would believe it if I could really say what happened. I went through months and months of torture.”
Luckily, those months of torture were turned around when she got to work on The Voice in the summer of 2015, and reunited with Blake Shelton, 40, who was going through a similar divorce of his own. The pair’s friendship quickly became something more, and now, they’re more in love than ever — a report from Aug. 3 even claims the country singer is planning to propose soon!
Just like Gwen, Blake has admitted to being in a really rough spot after his 2015 split from Miranda Lambert — he even described it as hitting “rock bottom” and being “in the middle of hell.” We’re so glad these two found each other and were able to get out of those tough times as a happy couple!
HollywoodLifers, are you sick of Gwen talking about her divorce and relationship? Or are you glad she’s so open about it all?
