Poor Caitlyn Jenner. The LGBTQ activist revealed she had thoughts of committing suicide when paparazzi took photos of her leaving the doctor’s office after she had the operation to remove her Adam’s apple, and you can WATCH Cait’s heartbreaking new interview here.
Caitlyn Jenner, 66, opened up about the lowest she’s ever felt in an Aug. 3 interview with Bill Simmons, 46, on his show Any Given Wednesday. The I Am Cait star confessed that during her transition, she thought about killing herself as a result of an incident with the paparazzi. “I always hated my Adams apple; [and hoped the paparazzi] would never know [of the operation],” she said. Well, someone got a picture of her coming out of the doctor’s, and Cait’s mental state escalated from there. “I could not sleep that night,” she said. “I’m up at 3 AM walking up and down my hallways thinking, ‘Damn, all this shit is going to come out tomorrow and it’s going to be horrible.’ And I said, ‘You know what, easy way, go in the other room, you got a gun, let’s just end it right here.'” So heartbreaking.
“That’s like, the easy way out. No more pain, no more nothing,” Caitlyn continued. “I don’t have to deal with the tabloids any longer. I don’t have to deal with any of this. And that was probably the lowest I’ve ever gotten.” The next day, Cait thought about what she had been considering. “I thought, ‘What a terrible way to end your life’s story!’ I don’t want my story to end that way, on a negative note.”
“That was the beginning of me turning my thinking around to say, ‘OK, I think I can do this,'” she concluded. We’re so happy that she changed her mindset!
