He’s finally getting help. After struggling with sex addiction for six years, Ozzy Osbourne is seeking therapy to save his marriage to Sharon Osbourne, his rep confirms. Read the statement here.
“Over the last six years, Ozzy Osbourne has been dealing with a sex addiction,” the singer’s rep told People magazine. Throughout that time, the Black Sabbath singer has cheated on his wife, Sharon Osbourne, 63, with multiple women, including his hair colorist, Michelle Pugh, 45, who he indulged in a four-year affair with.
“He is sorry if Ms. Pugh took their sexual relationship out of context,” Ozzy’s rep added. “He would like to apologize to the other women he has been having sexual relationships with. Out of the bad comes good. Since his relationship with Ms. Pugh was exposed, Ozzy has gone into intense therapy. Ozzy is mortified at what his behavior has done to his family. He thanks God that his incredible wife Sharon is at his side to support him.”
As we previously reported, Sharon and Ozzy split in May 2016 after she found out about his relationship with Michelle. However, the break didn’t last long, and just weeks later, the couple was back to trying to make their marriage work after 33 years.
“Some days it’s good, some days it’s terrible, some days you just drift apart for a while,” Ozzy explained in a July 25 interview. “But you get back on the horse, you know.” He also added that the breakup was just a “bump in the road” for him and his wife.
Michelle has a much different view of her time with the 67-year-old, though. “When I say he gave me the greatest love of my life, I mean it,” she admitted to People. Clearly, there were some mixed signals being thrown around!
