Gretchen Carlson is so over the Trumps. Donald said she should have found ‘another career’ instead of suing Roger Ailes for sexual harassment, while Eric said Ivanka wouldn’t ‘allow’ herself to be violated. Gretchen EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com that these comments are ‘sad.’
“It’s a sad commentary to see at this moment in our era of ‘gender equality’ that there are public figures still trying to blame victims of harassment,” the former Fox News anchor EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “Trust me, I’m a strong a women, and I was still victimized by sexual harassment and retaliation in the workplace.”
In short, Gretchen, 50, just pulled a Beyonce, 34, on Eric, 32, and Donald Trump, 70, essentially telling them both, “Boy, Bye.” Clearly, she was done with Donald after he defended Roger Ailes, 76, against the women who claim he harassed them, calling them all ungrateful!
“Some of the women are complaining…I know much he’s helped them…and when they write books…and say wonderful things about him,” Donald said when asked about the Fox News scandal. “Now, all of a sudden, they’re saying these horrible things about him.”
Speaking of “saying horrible things,” when asked what his daughter, Ivanka Trump, 34, should do if she were ever sexually harassed, Donald thinks she should find another line of work. “I would like to think she would find another career or find another company if that was the case,” the Republican Presidential candidate said, per The New York Times. So, instead of fighting back, they should simply quit? Huh.
However, Eric thinks that Ivanka would never let herself be victimized. Because, you know, all those women Roger allegedly assaulted “let” him do it. “Ivanaka is a strong, powerful woman,” Eric said, while trying to defend his father’s comments. “She wouldn’t allow herself to be [assaulted.] And, by the way, should take it up with human resources, and I think she would as a strong person.”
If Eric needs a definition of a “strong person,” he might want to consider Gretchen, as Roger resigned in the wake of this controversy. So, she didn’t run from the battle. Instead, she stood her ground, fought one of the most powerful men in media, and scored a major victory. Perhaps Donald and Eric will consider celebrating her instead of calling her ungrateful or suggesting she “allowed” Roger to harass her?
What do you think about Gretchen’s response, HollywoodLifers? Do you think she shut down Donald and Eric’s comments?
