Ethan and Grayson Dolan, both 16, were BEYOND elated when they took home two surfboards for Choice Male Web star and Choice YouTube star. They gushed about the experience on Aug. 2, suitably titling their video: “the craziest week of our lives.” The Dolan twins can be seen quickly darting into the restroom after their win, jumping up and down while voicing how grateful they are. Ethan exclaimed to the camera: “Thank you guys SO much! You guys make us so happy!” Grayson added: “This is insane!” AWE!

One day later, the boys explained how it took some time for them to process their emotions. Ethan said their happiness wasn’t even about winning the awards, but more so about the “connection” they have with their fans. He even called the 2 million plus subscribers to their channel — their “best friends.” So sweet! The Dolan Twins captivated the audience at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards, especially the squealing girls. While taking to the podium to accept their awards, both Ethan and Grayson got a bit emotional.
It was clear to see the brothers were totally in shock to receive such a positive fan-response. “Do whatever makes you happy and do whatever you’re passionate about. Because your passion could be different than your parents, your peers, anyone who surrounds you,” Ethan said to the crowd. “But that does not give them the right to judge. Do what makes you happy. You’ve made us the happiest guys in the world.” The boys were huffing and puffing in utter joy after their quick speech. Ethan and Grayson began their popular YouTube channel in 2014, and are still garnering millions of views, so we’re sure this is just the beginning of their success!
