Looks like Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar are making a comeback! One of the WWE’s most famous pairs returned to wrestling on Aug. 1’s ‘Monday Night Raw,’ also revealing that Paul has officially signed a new deal to continue his role as Brock’s advisor. Get the details here!
Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar proved to be a WWE dream team in 2002, returning in 2012 to continue their success story together. Their appearances haven’t been so frequent lately, but that seemingly changed on Aug. 1 when Paul reached a deal with WWE, just before teaming up with Brock on Monday Night Raw. Umm, can you say exciting?!
Wrestling fans were dying to know if Paul was going to return after his contract expired a few months ago, especially because he wasn’t featured in advertisements for Brock’s August MNR fight. Considering Paul has served as Brock’s advisor and “Master of the mic” since 2012, it would have been a pretty big loss for Paul to not return!
Even though it was revealed that Paul had signed another WWE deal before Brock took the Monday Night Raw stage, the duo’s return was still incredibly thrilling. Not only did Paul give Brock a new nickname (“The Beast of the Brocktagon”), but Paul also declared that Brock will take down Randy Orton in their upcoming Summer Slam match on Aug. 21!
But amidst all of the excitement came some shock factor. It seemed Paul spoke a bit too soon no the Randy/Brock matter, because right as he said that Randy will “never” get an RKO on Brock, Randy came out of nowhere and took Brock down in one fell swoop!
While Paul and Brock’s big return night might have been turned upside down on Raw, we’re thinking that this pair is far from throwing in the towel now that they’re back in action. With Summer Slam right around the corner, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of vengeance Brock and Paul come back with next time!
