Poor Selena Gomez. As soon as she landed in the Philippines for a stop on her current world tour, she was immediately mobbed by screaming fans. And this comes just days after Selena confessed she feels ‘unconnected’ to her music. See the pics, here!
Even though just last week, Selena Gomez told her fans she needed to “rethink some areas of my life creatively and personally,” she knows the show must go on. She touched down in the Philippines on Saturday, July 30, for her latest stop on her world tour.
And as she made her way through the airport, Selena, 24, was mobbed by a large group of screaming fans. That must have been so difficult for her, but as you can see in the photos here, she kept her composure.
Thankfully, Selena had a number of security guards come to her defense, as they shielded her from the screaming fans who were probably happy enough just catching a glimpse of the “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” singer.
As we previously told you, Selena took to Instagram last week to address a very serious issue with her fans, saying she wants to make major changes in her life. Her message said, “Tonight I felt extremely unauthentic, unconnected to both my myself and my music. I’ve never really felt like my materials, wardrobe or a video could define me. I act on a moment and fear something that hasn’t happened. I’m stagnant, I stay still and don’t just sit with myself first and ask, ‘Is this where I am, whole heartedly? I’ve always told the truth. I’m always true to my word, I’ve shown who I am but I need to rethink some areas of my life creatively and personally. Had to get that out.”
She then captioned the post with: “Not being negative about anything I’ve done. I’m grateful for every single moment I get here – Indonesia you were LOUD and clearly inspiring. Love you so much.”
