If you’re one of those people who can’t get enough of Pokemon GO, then you’re in luck! Nintendo just released a new update for the game, and the new features will blow your mind. Find out all about them, here!
This is Pokemon GO‘s largest update yet for Android and iOS. And it allows you to “re-customize your character, has rebalanced Pokémon move sets, has changed some spawn points and now allows you to lock your favorite Pokémon to prevent accidental transfers,” according to Forbes.
But while that all sounds amazing, there’s also a downside. “Instead of fixing the three-step bug to once again show two and one footstep indicators as players get closer to a specific Pokémon, Niantic has done away with the footstep tracking idea altogether. Pokémon now all have zero footsteps near them, meaning that they’re just somewhere ‘around,'” the site notes.
Obviously, you sometimes just have to take the good with the bad. It isn’t cool that Niantic has done away with footstep tracking, but we like the new features that do come with the update.
As you know, Pokemon GO has become a worldwide phenomenon. Since the game’s release just a few short weeks ago, users have become addicted. So much so, in fact, that people have lost their jobs, fallen off cliffs, gotten in car crashes and completely ignored Beyonce in concert (see the video above), just because they were trying hardest to “catch ’em all.”
