Slay, queen! Lady Gaga brought the house down with her stellar performance at a private Democratic National Convention event on July 28. HollywoodLife.com has the epic video of the songstress rocking out and wowing the crowd with her undeniable stage prowess, right here!
We’ve got to hand it to Lady Gaga, 30, for leaving the audience in total awe at the invite-only concert held for delegates in Camden, New Jersey. She opened the show with the touching number, “This Land Is Your Land,” followed by a captivating rendition of Neil Young‘s “Old Man.” Donning retro round shades, a cowboy hat and a crimson red lip, the songstress had a rocker-chic vibe during her soulful performance. She strummed her guitar, while clad in a denim button down and ripped black jeans.
Gaga showed off her impressive low octaves, before leading into her own hits like “Bad Romance” and “You and I.” She really turned up the heat to sing covers of Edith Paif‘s “La Vie en Rose,” and The Beatles “Come Together” — which had to be our personal favorite. The singer went all-out during her encore, hitting the vibratos and falsettos as she jammed to the beat like no one was watching. She later ditched her jean top, debuting her white tank underneath, while taking to the piano and leaving the audience with chills. Lenny Kravitz, 52, and DJ Jazzy Jeff, 51, also performed at the star-studded event.
The Grammy-Award winner was introduced to the stage at the Camden Rising concert by New Jersey senator Cory Booker. He opened her performance with an inspiring statement: “She’s fighting for all of us, from victims of sexual assault to people suffering with mental health. She speaks to the gospel of love that she’s put to a pretty powerful soundtrack,” he said. Demi Lovato, 23, also sang “Confident” at the DNC on July 25, to help people live a “normal and empowered life” despite struggling with their mental health. What a dream team!
