Bill, 69, was just resting his eyes a little bit! During Hillary’s, 68, passionate speech at the DNC, video footage showed the Democratic nominee’s husband catching some zzz’s. As his daughter, Chelsea Clinton, 36, and vice president nominee Tim Kaine, 58, listened attentively to the female candidate, Bill seemed to be inspecting the inside of his eyelids. At one point, he jerked himself awake, only to fall asleep moments after. And Tim attempted to cover for him, but it was already too late! SO awkward.

Okay, this was definitely not one of our nation’s 42nd president’s most shining moments, but in all fairness, he did deliver a moving speech about Hillary two days before. During his DNC speech on July 26, Bill recalled where it all began in the Spring of 1971, when he first laid eyes on his wife-to-be. He spoke about their first dates, building a family, and her thriving career in politics. “And we’ve done it in good times and bad, through joy and heartbreak… We’ve built up a lifetime of memories,” he said. SO sweet!
And he concluded his speech by telling the crowd why they should vote for his wife. “Hillary will make us stronger together. You know it because she’s spent a lifetime doing it. I hope you will do it. I hope you will elect her,” he continued. “Those of us who have more yesterdays than tomorrows tend to care more about our children and grandchildren. The reason you should elect her is that in the greatest country on earth we have always been about tomorrow. You children and grandchildren will bless you forever if you do.”
Wow! So, Bill may have been nodding off during the biggest moment in his wife’s political career, but his speech might make up for that. We’re sure he’ll be much more awake when Hillary goes against Donald Trump in Nov. 2016.
