This is hilarious! There’s currently a conspiracy theory on social media, claiming Beyonce is holding Sia hostage in a cryptic lair and forcing her to write songs. See all the crazy responses here!
Obviously, we don’t think Beyonce actually kidnapped Sia, but this conspiracy theory, which was discovered by Buzzfeed, is pretty entertaining. There’s even a #SaveSia hashtag that people are using. Plus, fans are looking for secret messages in Sia’s tweets to see if she’s trying to ask for help. For instance, on July 25, she tweeted, “Hope Everyone Likes Pancakes,” which may or may not be her way of asking for “help” (see the bolded letters).

Some fans have been tweeting the FBI, asking for their help, while others are sending tweets directly to Beyonce, demanding she release Sia. Yes, really. “@Beyonce RELEASE HER NOW YOU CRAZY WOMAN #SaveSia,” one fan wrote.
And here’s the kicker — some have been suggesting that Sia’s wigs are disguises she uses to hide bruises that she gets from Beyonce! “Sia tries to disguise the bruises made by the militant aka Beyoncé, who keeps her held hostage #SaveSia,” one fan tweeted.

We know, this sounds pretty crazy. But it didn’t come out of thin air. Apparently, the theory materialized from an interview Sia did with Billboard in 2015. In the article, she talked about working with Beyonce on music and how their time together felt like she was trapped in a “writing camp.” See an excerpt below:
Not true of artists like Beyonce, with whom Sia says collaborating is “like a writing camp” and that “she’s very Frankenstein when she comes to the songs,” taking bits and pieces from various songwriters and asking to hear them mixed together. “In the end, she had maybe 25 songs of mine on hold, and I was very excited to get a couple of them back. Definitely one is on the album.”

Sia also recently retweeted the conspiracy theory. So does this mean it could be true? Hmm…
HollywoodLifers, what do YOU think of this crazy conspiracy theory? Is it funny or are you taking it seriously?
