What a performance! The iconic Carole King, 74, showed just how much she supports Hillary Clinton, 68, on July 28 by bringing her legendary voice to the Democratic National Convention stage, and she sounded better than ever singing “You’ve Got A Friend.” And what a perfect message!
At 74, Carole is looking healthy and radiant! the songstress was fit and slender in a pair of black pants, a sparkly black blouse, and her signature curly-q bob. So cute! She wrapped up her passionate performance by saying “Hillary’s got so many friends! And Bernie too! And all of us together! We’re gonna do it!” Her joy and excitement were definitely infectious.
The morning before the big performance, Carole told CBS she’s been behind Hillary for a long time. “I was a supporter of hers in 2008” she said, even revealing that she’d gone door-to-door in NYC to get votes. “I have known her since 1992. We have friends in common and I met them at the home of one of the friends. I was just so impressed with her she is warm and funny and smart and all of the things that people say that she is. She maybe doesn’t show that all the time publicly, but shes show it enough, and I think this nomination will giver her the confidence to show more of it because that is who she is. She’s a remarkable woman.” We felt all of that passion in her performance tonight!
