With two new coaches joining ‘The Voice,’ the NBC show is also enlisting some seriously talented voices to help the teams mentor. In the past, we’ve seen everyone from Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift to Ed Sheeran and Brad Paisley… so who will season 11 bring?
“Adam loves inviting rockers he admires. He’s a big fan of classic rock,” a source told Us magazine — which is why Adam Levine chose Sammy Hagar, 68, the frontman from Van Halen, to help out on his team! So what about the other coaches?
Well, Blake Shelton actually chose the one and only Bette Midler, which we all know will change the game. I mean, is that even fair? New judge Alicia Keys will work with Charlie Puth — and they’ve already started filming together, while the other new judge, Miley Cyrus, will partner with Joan Jett, who shares her love of rock and roll!
Carson Daly confirmed the news on Thursday morning on NBC.
As we told you, the NBC show is looking to spice things up this season — and bringing in such huge talents from all different aspects of music is quite the way to do that.
“Mark Burnett, among many reasons, feels that Miley is going to spark interest in singers young and old and quirky, that may have never applied before. It should add an amazing element to what The Voice already offers,” an insider previously told us exclusively, adding that Miley jumped at the chance to work with Mark on the show.
“She thought that it would be a great idea and she is very excited to try it out,” our source added. “Everyone is very happy that she is now a part of the team and everyone expects it to be game changing.”
