The men of this season were some of the most entertaining to ever be on the show, so it’s no surprise they had a lot to say to each other — and of course, to JoJo.
1. Bachelor In Paradise is HERE.
We started off with a seriously intense trailer of Bachelor In Paradise where Chad is once again the villain — but there’s also a LOT of love. For the most part, that’s where the love on this week’s episode ended.
2. Chad = Donald Trump?
First of all, before Chad even came out, Evan compared him to Donald Trump — not exactly the best compliment. He blamed Chad’s attitude on the lack of steroids while Daniel, Chad’s BFF in the house, tried defending him. It didn’t really work. So, out came Chad.
3. Chad’s dating everyone’s exes and knows no one’s name.
Chad finally did come out and went down the list of guys, bashing them all, before Grant (or Daryl, as Chad called him) called him out for doing everything he could for attention — like dating both his ex and Robby’s ex. Chad revealed he is still speaking to both of them, and claims that both Grant and Robby dumped them to go on the show. I’m sure they’re both thrilled to hear he’s dating the other. He also said that Robby’s ex, Hope, is being “threatened” by Robby. “I know he’s threatened her, saying, ‘Don’t talk to him, don’t do any interviews or I’ll come get you.’ I don’t know what that entails.” Yikes.
4. Evan actually did push Chad first… I think
Remember when Chad ripped Evan’s shirt, and claimed it was Evan who pushed him first? Well, Chris Harrison slowed down the tapes and yes, it looked like he did push Chad first. However, Chad then claimed he “almost fell,” which clearly he didn’t. I kind of loved that Wells chimed in saying that the guys did Lord of the Flies him, and we’ll all get to see him redeem himself on Paradise. (JK guys, he doesn’t look so nice on the preview.)
Chris Harrison also asked Chad what his late mother would have thought about his actions; he said she would have thought he was hilarious — maybe not the “I’ll find you at home” part, but the rest she would have enjoyed.
5. “Sometimes you chose apples when you should have chosen pickles.”
Alright there’s no explanation but that was a saying Chad said that was hilarious, and totally worth pointing out.
6. Luke makes us all swoon, still.
He took the hot seat to basically reveal that he still loved JoJo, he does consider himself a “hopeless romantic” and admitted he wanted the first time saying “I love you” to be special — so that’s why he waited. He also said that he’s now “ready to fall in love.” That was him telling Chris he was ready to be The Bachelor right?
7. Chase gets to the point quickly.
Chase said he did not regret telling JoJo he loved her because it allowed him to really open up — it was his first time saying “I love you” first. However, he did have a question for JoJo: why give him the fantasy suite only to send him home? Her answer was that she felt anxious when hearing him say “love.” She even said that she maybe found her clarity at the wrong time and she did feel guilty — and he told her not to be.
8. Chad finally talks to JoJo.
Chad took this opportunity to wish her luck with the final two men — saying that Robby dumped his girlfriend to go on the show, and Jordan was a liar and cheater. JoJo’s response: “He’s not even worth my breath.”
9. Vinny’s mom shows up.
Yes really! She jumped up from the audience to tell JoJo she was missing out, and that he never would have broken her heart. JoJo agreed on that and admitted that Vinny was actually her best friend in the house! Aww.
