A night of fun at Club Blu in Fort Myers, Florida, turned tragic, as another shooting in America left many dead and injured. Timothy Settles, one of the survivors of the July 25 attack, posted an update on Facebook Live after praying he would somehow survive his injuries! Click to watch.
“I don’t [wanna] die,” Timothy wrote mere hours after another mass shooting in America. He was one of the survivors of the terrifying attack at the Club Blu Bar & Grill in Fort Myers, Florida, per Fox4. Shortly after posting his plea, he went onto Facebook Live for a few seconds, showing he was recovering in a hospital room.
Timothy didn’t have to say anything to cause everyone’s hearts to break. The poor man was just attending the all-ages “Swimsuit Glow Party” when gunfire rang out. At the end of this latest attack, at least two people were dead with at least sixteen injured.
“We are deeply sorry for all involved,” Club Blu said on Facebook, according to NBC News. “We tried to give the teens what we thought was a safe place to have a good time.” The club added that they was “armed security” at the event, but there “was nothing more we could have done.”
The identity of the attacker (or attackers) currently remains unknown, but the club admitted that “it was not kids at the party that did this despicable act.” Three people were detained for questioning early on July 25. Sadly, this latest tragedy comes as Florida still mourns those slaughtered during the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, as well as the horrific murder of Christina Grimmie.
An eyewitness claims that a man outside of Club Blu started yelling before opening fire. Shots were also reported five blocks away from the nightclub, where another person was lightly injured. Those caught in the Club Blu shooting have injuries ranging from minor to life threatening. Hopefully, Timothy will make a full recovery, healing his mind and body from this terrible experience.
Our thoughts continue to go out to those affected by this horrible shooting. This story is developing and we will update with new information.
