Rapper Young Buck, AKA David Darnell Brown, was arrested on July 21 after he (unsuccessfully) tried to burn down his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, according to police officials in Tennessee. He reportedly texted the woman his threat of arson, then entered her apartment, but that’s as far as he got — see his mug shot right here.
Young Buck, 35, was arrested after trying to burn down his ex’s residence, TMZ reports. The rapper reportedly made his threat, then went to her apartment and kicked down the door. He was arrested and held in custody for a few hours, then was released on a $5,000 bond. The site says that Young Buck “is currently on federal probation, and this arrest could mean he’ll be busted for a violation”. You’d think he’d have been more careful since he’s already on probation for a previous offense. Yikes!
Young Buck dropped a new song called “The Get Back” earlier this month, in which he addresses police brutality and the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile with lyrics like “Make these n****s load up and go kill a cop right now”. “I do feel like just us as people, we do got the right to be able to protect our lives from those crooked police officers that feel like they’ve got the right to take your innocent life–black or white,” he told TMZ about the song. “At the end of the day, it’s like this, I didn’t even make it to TMZ Live until an innocent life was [taken],” he added. “Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.” Wow, how ironic. He clearly tried to fight his ex “with fire”, but it didn’t quite work out, did it?
