Jon Stewart Slams Trump Supporters For Dividing Country Like Taylor Swift & Kimye — Watch

Jon Stewart made a triumphant mini-return to late night TV on July 21, and one of his shining moments during his takeover of Stephen Colbert’s ‘Late Show’ was when he attacked Fox News personality Sean Hannity’s support of Donald Trump. Stewart called out Hannity’s hypocrisy while managing to bring Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian into it — watch for yourself!

Jon Stewart, 53, took on Donald Trump, 70, and his supporters by bringing up the topic of how the right-wing media has slammed President Obama for “divisiveness” — while ignoring the fact that it’s actually Trump who’s displaying the traits they criticize in this election cycle.

In the episode, Stewart tears into Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, showing a supercut of the latter ranting “about Barack Obama’s divisiveness” on TV. “This president is the most divisive president in history…divided along racial lines…rich verses poor, black verses white, old verses young…” Hannity rages in the clips.

Stewart then jumps in with his own binaries: “Cats verses dogs! Batman verses Superman! That one [Taylor Swift] against the other two [Kim Kardashian and Kanye West]!” he jokes, pointing to photos of the trio. “I’ve been out of the business a while, I don’t know what that is, actually,” Stewart adds. Hilarious.

Anyway, Stewart’s point is that Trump supporters are blind to Trump’s own divisiveness and elitism. “If you don’t like divisiveness, what about when Trump suggested Mexico is sending us their rapists?” Stewart asks. “You just want that person to give you your country back because you feel you’re this country’s rightful owners, but there’s only one problem with that: this country isn’t yours. You don’t own it. It never was…I see you and I see your bullsh*t,” Stewart adds. Oh, Jon, how we’ve missed you.
