“For the first time we are going to see our characters really having to learn to survive in the apocalypse,” executive producer Dave Erickson said at Fear The Walking Dead’s panel on Friday. “We are going to see a level of intensity and violence in the back half that we haven’t seen before.” Well he was not kidding.
Are you ready for more ‘Fear The Walking Dead’? In the first trailer for season 2b, we find out that the group is still very much apart while trying to figure out their next survival move. Click inside to WATCH!
Brace yourself — this trailer brings Fear the Walking Dead to a whole new level. The cast debuted it right after their Comic Con panel.
As you might remember, the mid-season finale of season two left fans stunned as the entire group split up, with each group splitting up into smaller groups and going out into the world totally unprepared. As the Mexican compound they called home for a short period of time burned to the ground, Madison was forced to watch her son, Nick, turn his back on her and walk off into the darkness alone. With Chris and Travis on the run and Daniel missing, there are a lot of questions to be answered when 2b premieres on August 31.
In the first official image released from the upcoming season, we see Nick walking down an abandoned highway in an image that is all too similar to a scene from The Walking Dead‘s first season. It’s unclear which direction he’s headed, but he has the best survival tool under his belt: the ability to hide among the walkers by smearing their blood and insides all over his body. Gross? Yes, but it totally works somehow.
