The data measurement company is reporting that Selena is single handedly the most influential social media star. That means people are more likely to buy clothing, products, and more if they see it on one of her accounts as opposed to any Kardashian or Jenner sister. She’s even more popular than her own BFF, Taylor Swift, 26, who is closing in on her record-breaking account with over 86 million followers.
If you combine all of Selena’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), it racks up to over 200 million followers. In order to score the $550,000 in total Selena would have to post an ad or sponsored image across all three platforms, so that the product is put in front of each and every one of her fans on the internet.
However, anyone who follows Selena knows that she is not one to constantly hock products to her fans. Not only does that show her loyalty to fans as an artist and not just someone trying to cash in on her popularity, it also makes the real estate on her social media accounts that much more valuable. In the past, Selena has teamed up with Pantene, Coca-Cola, and adidas for campaigns, but the posts were never overwhelming for her followers.
