To forgive or not to forgive? Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift’s split has been anything but amicable. The DJ went on a major Twitter rant after he felt his ex was trying to ‘bury’ him in the wake of their public split, so is he still mad? HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop!
Calvin Harris, 32, is ready to extend the olive branch to Taylor Swift, 26. But, he didn’t get here without struggling a bit first. After the British DJ and his ex-girlfriend called it quits — he saw her pursue a very public relationship with Tom Hiddleston, 35, and faced quite a bit of heat after he expressed his feelings on Twitter. Calvin noted that Tay was trying to make him “look bad,” especially when it was discovered the she helped pen his hit song, “This Is What You Came For,” featuring Rihanna, 28. Now, he’s ready to let go of the “Bad Blood” between him and the pop star, but only if she plays nice.
“Calvin has been in contact with Taylor and is looking to have a truce with her moving forward,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It is still touch and go and he can see it not working out but after the drama with his song and everything else, he is considering on moving on as long as she doesn’t put up any issues or drama to the situation,” our source continued, noting that he is proceeding with caution. “He is putting it all in her court, he will only react if she does anything to shade him. He isn’t going to start any future fights.”
Taylor was initially credited as a writer on “TIWYCF” under a pseudonym, Nils Sjoberg, but Calvin didn’t want to give her all the praise after her true identity was revealed. “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret,” he tweeted. He did later compliment how she is an “amazing lyric writer” and said she “smashed it as usual.” We’re sure Calvin is focused on more important things now, like his new hot and heavy relationship with sultry singer, Tinashe, 23.
