Supermodel to Snapchat sweetheart? Miranda Kerr recently became engaged to Evan Spiegel, the co-founder of Snapchat with a $2 billion fortune, on July 20! So will the former Victoria’s Secret Angel ditch her career to enjoy life as a housewife? HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop!
Miranda Kerr, 33, excitedly said “yes” when her beau, Evan Spiegel, 26, popped the question with a $150k solitaire sparkler. She took to Instagram the very same day of his proposal to flaunt her new bling and even included an animation of her reaction, imitating the Snapchat co-founder taking a knee. Their upcoming nuptials have left plenty to wonder whether or not the brunette beauty will continue her lucrative modeling career now that she will be so financially set. Just to give a little context, Forbes valued his net worth to be around $2.1 billion. Sheesh!
“Evan loves that his future bride is still a hot working model,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “They are excited about starting a family together, but not until after they get married. Evan has been encouraging Miranda to pursue her passion for modeling. When she is not working, Miranda and Evan have been enjoying their time together lately in a new, secret, huge love nest in Malibu.”
Miranda last graced the cover of Elle Brazil for their July 2016 Issue, looking stunning in a metallic crop top and long knit coat, so she hasn’t slowed down one bit! Evan and Miranda first locked eyes at a dinner for Louis Vuitton in 2014, starting off as friends before deciding to pursue anything serious. The pair avoided paparazzi as their love blossomed, but decided to make their first official debut as a couple the very next year.
It’s got to be an exhilarating time for the lovebirds, given their whirlwind romance will lead them down the aisle after dating for a little over a year. Miranda is clearly looking forward to saying her “I dos,” for the second time around. The A-list siren was first married to Pirates of The Caribbean actor, Orlando Bloom for three years, and they share a son, Flynn Christopher, 5.
