It all comes down to this! JoJo has narrowed it down to her final four and it’s time to meet the parents. We know that only three men will make it to overnights. So, who will it be?
First stop on The Bachelorette hometown dates is Chase‘s home — which by the way is covered in snow. However, when they sat outside together, they weren’t wearing jackets… Anyways. He opened up to JoJo about his life, and his parents’ divorce, something obviously very personal. He not only opened up to JoJo but also to his dad for the first time. However, after meeting his dad, she met his mom separately: and she was adorable.
Chase even started crying speaking to her and they were clearly the kind of family that were very closed off when it came to “the L word.” Yes, it even drew out the single tear from Chase, and he was able to whisper to her that he was falling in love!
Next up was Jordan‘s family home in Chico, California. So he took her to his high school and made out with her in the library. It seemed a little bit sketchy that that’s that part of his life that was important enough to share, but anyways. The awkward relationship with his brother, you know, Aaron Rodgers, came up again.
During a conversation with Jordan’s other bother, Luke, JoJo found out that the topic of Aaron was kind of avoided and personal, as they’ve all wished to be closer to him. Luke also pointed out that Jordan wouldn’t have told JoJo about that relationship if he didn’t really care. His dad even told her that he had a “skip in his step.” Aww! Afterward though, JoJo almost said “I love you, too,” but didn’t because of Ben (good move, girl!). She also realized, like Ben, Jordan told her everything she wanted to hear — which really scared her.
The next date went to Robby, and it started with a horseback ride through St. Augustine, Florida. Right away, she brought up the fact that he was only single for a few months before telling her he loved her — and she didn’t want to just “fill the void.” He reassured that it was in her past. Then came his mom; and JoJo told her she was falling in love with him! Don’t let the happiness linger for too long — his mom later told Robby what he needed to know: his ex’s roommate was telling people that he broke up with her to go on the show.
Afterward, Robby immediately wanted to tell JoJo, and she asked point blank: did you break up with her when you found out you were coming on the show? He said no, one hundred percent — but of course, she was scared. But he continued to say that none of it was true.
Last but not least was Luke‘s family… and 50 closest friends. Well, they say everything is bigger in Texas! She was adorable being back in Texas, wearing the cowboy boots that he bought her. Following a heart-to-heart with his dad, Luke took JoJo on a horseback ride to a cute little hay bail covered by blankets. He also actually made a path of candles to a heart of petals and told her how crazy about her he was — and she teared up when thinking about leaving him. I have to say, they’re relationship seemed much more serious, deep and real than others.
Naturally, the episode ended with a rose ceremony at an airport hangar — and right when she was about to send Luke home, he pulled her aside to tell her he was in love with her. Naturally, she had a break down after that… and the episode ended on a To Be Continued note.
Until next time — and by next time, I mean next week where there are two episodes.
