So sad! Leslie Jones should be celebrating her ‘Ghostbusters’ having a phenomenal box office weekend, but instead the star is having to fight back against vicious racist attacks on Twitter. She’s posted examples to help shame the horrible trolls who have bombarding her with hateful messages, and is reminding her followers how much evil is out there.
This is just devastating. Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones, 48, has been getting hammered by racist internet trolls ever since her blockbuster movie came out. But the SNL star isn’t taking the abuse lying down, as she’s sharing some examples with her Twitter followers of how she’s been called an ape, a gorilla and other horrible things. She’s also put out a series of powerful messages about the disgusting racists.
“It’s so sad, most of these comments sound like they are from ignorant children. ‘I’m the source of AIDS?!’ WTF!! These people hate themselves. You have to hate yourself to putout that type of hate. I mean on my worst day I can’t think of this type of hate to put out,” Leslie shared.
“You know I’m gonna stop blocking so y’all can go through my feed yourself and see the b.s. You won’t believe the evil. It’s f***ing scary,” she revealed as she allowed some of the horrible posts about her to be shown. She also shared how much it has hurt her, saying “I don’t know how to feel. I’m numb. Actually numb. I see the words and pics and videos. Videos y’all. Meaning people took time to sprew hate….I’m more human and real than you f***ing think.I work my a** off. I’m not different than any of you who has a dream to do what they love.”
“I’m not stupid to not know racism exists. And I know it will probably live on way after me. But we have to make people take responsibility,” she added. Keep reading for the posts she put up that exposed racial hatred towards her, but be forewarned, they’re highly offensive.
