A week before killing three Baton Rouge police officers, Gavin Eugene Long defended Micah Xavier Johnson’s rampage in Dallas. In a terrifying video posted on July 10, Gavin also warned of a coming ‘bloodshed,’ saying the only choice is to ‘fight back.’ Click to watch.
By a cruel twist of fate, Gavin Eugene Long, 29, was actually in Dallas on July 10, mere days after Micah Xavier Johnson, 25, murdered five police officers. The attack was on Gavin’s mind, along with “the holiday that just passed: Independence Day,” he said in a video uploaded to his Convos With Cosmos YouTube channel on July 10. “[It’s] really based on George Washington and the Americans fighting against their oppressor – Britain. And we celebrate that. We tell them they’re right. But, when an African fight back, he’s wrong.”
“Let’s just go with the numbers,” Gavin said, speaking to all those who have conducted peaceful protest against police brutality following the shootings of Alton Sterling, 37, Philando Castile, 32, and so many more innocent black men and women. “Let’s go with the history. One hundred percent of revolutions, of victims fighting their oppressors, from victims fighting their bullies, one hundred percent have been successful through fighting back, through bloodshed.”
Violence is not THE answer (its a answer), but at what point do you stand up so that your people dont become the Native Americans…EXTINCT?

Gavin stated “oppressors” only care about two things – “revenue and blood” – and that peaceful demonstrations are useless. “Zero have been successful over simply protesting. It has never worked and never will. You’ve got to fight back. That’s the only way a bully knows to quit. He doesn’t know words. He can’t understand words. He doesn’t understand protests.” The soon-to-be murderer ended the video with, “Salute to the rebels. I’m out here. I’m in these streets.”
A week after that video, Gavin would carry out his own “bloodshed,” slaughtering three Baton Rouge police officers on July 17. Just like Micah, Gavin acted alone and — just like the Dallas Shooter — Gavin was fatally shot by police fighting back against the attack.
