So cool! Super Bowl Champion Von Miller was awarded by getting smothered in the mysterious green slime after winning a cart race at the 2016 Kids’ Choice Sports Awards. Eww. Keep reading for all the gooey details!
Here’s how Von Miller, monster-stud linebacker for the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos, ended up wearing a bucket full of the wet, green goo. It was Team Lightning vs Team Fire. The all-star teams featured MLB All-star pitcher, CC Sabathia and Von teamed up with Madisyn Shipman, Cree Cicchino who are members of the hit Nickelodeon show Game Shakers. They jammed through the, “KCS 500,” an obstacle-ridden race around the entire wild crowd, on human-powered pedal racing carts! It was wild.
Everyone peddle bike raced through the audience and guess who was the fastest guy on four wheels? That’s right, it was Von who ended up winning! Former New York Giants defensive end and fellow Super Bowl champion, Michael Strahan was on hand to announce the race which ended with winner Von getting hammered with the icky-sticky green slime. Another clean set of clothes has been ruined by the hilarious people at Nickelodeon and we love it! Von’s team was also awarded with awesome gold medals. Way to go guys!
The night was full of slime and awards. Von was not alone in getting doused in green slime. Kobe Bryant also needed a shower after he got hit with the slime. Kobe’s slime however was not green but gold and he got hit at the end of the show after he was honored with the Legend Award. Kobe earned the award, and the slime, having just hung up his jersey after 20 seasons and 5 championships in the NBA playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. Host of the award show, and Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson was covered in slime too as was pro skater Tony Hawk and funny guy Nick Cannon. That’s a lot of green goo people.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think about Von’s appearance on the Kids’ Choice Sports Awards? Are you happy to see the Bronco covered in the gross stuff? Which athlete were you most happy to see get the sticky treatment?
