Following the deadly attack on bystanders celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, France, Rihanna has decided to cancel her July 15 concert in the devastated city. So sad.
Rihanna was in Nice, France preparing for her concert the night of July 14 when the attack on Bastille Day celebrators went down. Due to massive concerns for not only her safety, but the safety of her fans, Rihanna has decided to cancel the show she had scheduled for July 15, which would have taken place almost exactly 24 hours after the deadly assault on civilians, reports TMZ.
Thankfully, Rihanna remained unharmed during the attack that left up to 84 people dead on the streets of Nice. 202 more people were left injured, 52 of which were in critical condition. Now her team is working diligently to get her out of Nice as soon as possible, claims the same report.
For now, the rest of Rihanna’s tour dates are scheduled to go ahead. Her next show is in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday, July 17, and there is no reason to believe the show will be canceled. On July 18 she is performing in Australia, and then on the 19th she is set to return to France for a show in Lyon.
Our thoughts remain with the victims, as well as their family, friends, and love ones, of the ruthless attack that took place. The world is mourning over all of the recent devastation we’ve seen, and one can only hope that it comes to a stop sooner rather than later.
