The first photo of season 6 is from the very first episode. In the photo, revealed by Entertainment Weekly, Dylan’s wearing a hand brace. But the photo was was taken before his scary injury on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure in March 2016. “That is a Dylan O’Brien injury that was written into the show,” Jeff told the outlet. “You’ll see what happens with that in the first episode.”

While there’s no word yet if the show decided to write in Dylan’s Maze Runner injuries, which reportedly included a fractured cheekbone or orbital socket after he was run over, Dylan is still going to be a major part of the upcoming season.
“Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season’s mystery revolves around him,” Jeff revealed. “We’re going to see just what Stiles’ friendship means to Scott, Lydia, and Malia. We’re going to see why exactly he’s Scott’s best friend, what it means that he’s Malia’s human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won’t-they relationship is with Lydia.”
Production on The Maze Runner: The Death Cure was stopped in April 2016 in order to give Dylan more time to recover from his serious injuries. The movie was set to be released in 2017, but had to be pushed until 2018.
Dylan has not been seen in public since the accident. The Teen Wolf cast and crew will be attending San Diego Comic Con this year, and Dylan has always been a part of the show’s panel. Hopefully he’ll show up! Teen Wolf season 6 will premiere this fall on MTV.
