They used to call her on her cell phone! Rihanna, who was in the country at the time, has been getting plenty of love from Drake and Chris Brown in the wake of the Nice, France tragedy. The singer was super shaken up and even canceled her concert over there, and she’s relieved that her loved ones have been checking in.
A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that after the shocking Bastille Day terrorist attack on July 14, Rihanna‘s friends and family have been constantly checking in with her. “Rihanna has been feeling the love since the tragedy in Nice. Her cell has been blowing up with friends and family checking in worried sick about her — both Chris Brown and Drake have reached out to her to make sure she is OK,” the insider shares. “Her phone is also ringing off the hook with every big music producer in the game checking on her.” We’re so glad that Rihanna is okay, and that she has that support!
The insider adds that tragedy, which caused her to cancel a show that she was to play on July 15 at Nice’s Allianz Riviera Stadium, really disturbed the singer. “The terrible event really shook her up, but seeing how much everyone cares for her has made her feel better,” the source explains. “She feels grateful to be alive.” We’re grateful she is, too!
RiRi, of course, canceled her show out of concern for everyone’s safety. “In agreement with the authorities, the concert is canceled,” the official website said, adding that “The Allianz Riviera provides support to families of the victims and their families. Ticket holders are invited to contact their dealers to make the refund”. As of now, Ri will perform at the next date on her tour, in Frankfurt, Germany on July 17 as planned.
