Red carpet risk-taker alert! Kristen Stewart’s ruffled dress for the premiere of ‘Cafe Society’ turned heads for a slew of different reasons — are you a fan of her latest look? Check it out here and VOTE.
Kristen Stewart, 26, is known for rocking edgy ensembles and flaunting her legs, but for her latest red carpet appearance the actress stepped out in something uncharacteristically covered up, as she sported a long-sleeved ruffled Chanel frock from the Fall 2016 collection that extended to her ankles — it looked like she was getting swallowed up by the style as she stepped out for the NYC premiere of Cafe Society on July 13. Her frock served up major Victorian vibes and almost looked like she was suiting up in a costume.
The Chanel muse often embraces new styles and silhouettes and they often pay off, leaving us amazed at her edgy sense of style and ability to rock the red carpet — unfortunately the same can’t be said on this occasion. There was just too much fabric and it really seemed to overpower the star. She looked like a child playing dress up at one of those thematic photo booths in an amusement park. The frilly frock featured a slew of tulle fabric, a bib-style neckline and leather detailing, adding a bit of edge to the ensemble, which was attached to the frock using lace-up detailing, which also appeared at her waist. Even the hint of leather wasn’t enough to turn this look around.
While Kristen’s porcelain skin usually looks stunning on the red carpet, the hue of the voluminous dress paired with her toned down ‘do really washed her out. Her hair and makeup routine was another departure for the star on this occasion.

Usually KStew + Chanel = #FashionGoals. Unfortunately on this occasion we aren’t obsessed with the look, although we do appreciate her ability to try new trends. What did you think of her ruffled frock? Was the Victorian style a little too costume-like or did you love the way she took a risk on the red carpet?
