We have goosebumps after Andra Day’s amazing ESPY’s performance on July 13. The talented crooner sang a haunting rendition of “Rearview” as the biggest sports stars lost in 2016 were honored, including Pat Summitt, Muhammad Ali, and more. Here’s the scoop.
That was so powerful. Andra lent her incredible voice to the ESPYs on July 13, and by the end of her touching performance of her emotional song “Rearview,” there wasn’t a dry eye in the entire Microsoft Theater. Plus she looked amazing with dark purple lipstick, a gorgeous cat eye, and a stunning jacket with a luxurious feathered collar.
Her amazing song was sung during the “In Memoriam” segment of the show, where sports legends were honored on screen. In 2016, we lost some of the most legendary athletes ever, including the late, great Muhammad Ali and unparalleled basketball coach Pat Summitt. In addition, Kimbo Slice, the amazing fighter who passed away shockingly at 42, was paid tribute to in the slideshow. But there were dozens of legends among those lost this year.
