It was a beauty grand slam at the 2016 ESPY Awards. All of our favorite athletes transformed into red carpet royalty, sporting every beauty look you can imagine. From summery braids to textured waves and more killer smokey eyes than we can count, see the ESPYS best hair and makeup looks, ahead.
The 2016 ESPY Awards held no shortage of gorgeous hair and makeup, as all of the night’s honorees gathered at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Of course, it wasn’t just some of the world’s top athletes that were in attendance. Red carpet pros like Gabrielle Union and Ciara joined their pro athlete husbands, showing off some of their most gorgeous looks yet.
Gabrielle went full on glam for the ESPYS in her figure-hugging lace dress with the sultry makeup to match. Going for dark smokey shadows and cat eyeliner, chiseled cheek bones and a nude lip helped to balance out her heavy eye makeup. Throwing a sporty twist to her look, Gabrielle wore her long, sleek hair pulled back into a half ponytail.
Also opting for a smokey eye and nude lip was Caitlyn Jenner, who shared the behind-the-scenes from her look over on her Instagram. With Rob Scheppy on makeup and hairstylist Courtney Nanson behind Cait’s Old Hollywood waves, it was none other than Kim Kardashian who helped style Caitlyn in her white off-the-shoulder dress for the ESPYS (and naturally, she put the whole thing on her Snapchat).
Fresh off her honeymoon, Ciara was right by husband Russell Wilson‘s side as she turned up the heat in a slinky, cleavage-baring dress and a stunning hair and makeup combo. Cesar Ramirez styled her bronde hair into a faux bob style that was volumized with messy texture, Ciara chose a matte nude lip and shimmery eyeliner to complete her look.
Olivia Munn and Jessie James Decker joined their significant others as well, with both girls opting for messy waves and soft makeup. Other gorgeous attendees included skier Lindsey Vonn, who wore her long blonde hair in a side fishtail braid thanks to hairstylist Laura Polko and a super sexy smokey eye as the perfect finishing touch. Then there was NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, who opted for a high ponytail and glowing skin.
