JoJo – what the hey? How can you possibly choose the man you might marry when you never, EVER have a real conversation with any of them? Start talking!
JoJo – I’ve written about previous Bachelors and Bachelorettes who had episodes light on conversation with their potential mates. But you are taking the cake for making the least effort to actually know your contestants.
You are already coming up to the four hometown dates and just what exactly do you actually know about Luke, Chase, Robby and Jordan – the four last men standing? Do you even know what they do for a living? We as viewers wouldn’t know since we’ve never seen you express any interest in finding out about their careers.
On the other hand, they don’t seem to care what you do with your life when you’re off the show, either. In fact, it’s impossible to see how any of these men could be falling in love with you despite what they say, unless they are merely in love with your fabulous figure.
Yes JoJo, you are gorgeous arm candy – stunning in either your slinky, form-fitting evening dresses or skinny jeans and black suede boots. But so far, all that we really see is your physical looks. We don’t know what your hopes, dreams and life goals are aside from the fact that you want to get married.
If you don’t give more insight into yourself and these men and do no more than giggle and flirt, you will end up with a man who just wants you as his Bachelorette-show piece. And you will be in the same boat – just falling for a well-built body and head of finely-gelled hair.
The two serious conversations we’ve seen you have with your bachelors are, #1 about Robby’s ex-girlfriend who is too recent for your taste, and #2 about Jordan’s distant relationship with his brother, Aaron, who may not have even known that he was appearing on the show. Certainly, these were important and interesting conversations but they were short and JoJo you did no serious digging into either conversation.
Why are Jordan and Aaron alienated? Why isn’t Aaron close to anyone else in his family? What does that say about his family and what does it say about Jordan? And hey, what does Jordan do anyway now that he’s not playing pro football, ie besides hanging out in the gym? And why is Robby on a TV show trying to find a wife after just breaking up with a serious girlfriend of three years?
JoJo, why are any of these guys on this show, if it isn’t just for a laugh? Why aren’t you delving more into their reasons for trying to win your heart? We get why you’re here – why wouldn’t any young woman want 25 hunky men competing to impress her and win her love, all while in glamorous clothes and in glamorous settings?
But, when exactly are you and your four final men going to talk about what you truly want out of marriage and life? Do you plan to keep your real estate career or pursue another? Do you want to combine that with motherhood? Will any of these men be supportive of your ambitions? Will they take on equal daddy duties?
Are your suitors committed to monogamy? Do they see a marriage with you as a lifelong commitment? Are they religious? What are their politics? What are their passions? What are yours? In other words – when are you going to find out who these men really are and whether you are compatible, as well as whether you have chemistry with each other?
You went on a date with Alex and barely talked to him before giving him the old heave-ho! Did you know ANYTHING about him?
JoJo – I have to applaud Bachelor, Ben Higgins, for having at least a few interesting on-air discussions with his bachelorettes, not enough, but a few. It made the show interesting, as well, as giving some insight into him as a person. Though, I sure wouldn’t have pegged him for the Donald Trump supporter that he’s become. Some things are inexplicable.
JoJo, it’s time to stop eating Pringles, horse-whispering and stomping on grapes. Start doing what it really takes to get to know someone – talking!
Do you agree, Hollywoodlifers? Let me know if JoJo really wants to pick a husband or at least get to know Jordan, Robby, Luke and Chase?
