Everyone is freaking out about Pokémon GO, and that includes the Kardashian/Jenner family! But they’re not just playing it; the nostalgic mobile game is taking the world by storm, and the girls want in on that moneymaker!
Kim Kardashian, 35, and little sisters Kendall, 20, and Kylie Jenner, 18, have made millions off their mobile games. But now they have a major competitor that’s passing them by miles: Pokémon GO! The amazing, addictive game is already a major movement, and the businesswomen want to get involved while it’s still on the ground, according to a source who spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Will they be able to to that?
“Kim, Khloe [Kardashian] and Kylie want to get involved with Pokémon GO. They want to figure out a way to become a celebrity update to the game in the very near future,” the source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “They know that the emoji world is such a lucrative venture, and they all are tracking the money-making potential that Pokémon GO could have. The whole family is seeking a way to make something happen with it.”
Wow! That’s definitely an ambitious goal! It’s also a bit of a strange one, seeing as Pokémon has been around for over 20 years, and has never had a celebrity tie-in. Though tons of celebrities love to play the video games, card game, and now Pokémon GO (Stars! They’re just like us!), they’ve never actually appeared in any part of the franchise. It’s all about Pikachu, all the time!
You never know, though; if anyone could be the first celebs to appear in a Pokémon game, it would be the Kardashians! It’s risky to underestimate these ladies! Do you think they’re as addicted to Pokémon GO as celebs like John Mayer, 38? The singer posted a hilarious Instagram on July 10 revealing that he spent a whopping $100 to buy 14,500 Pokécoins! The Poké-struggle is real.
Since the game’s release the previous week, people have already lost their jobs, gotten injured from not paying attention and walking into things, and one teen even stumbled upon a dead body in her quest to catch ’em all.
HollywoodLifers, do you really think that the Kardashians/Jenners could be involved with Pokémon GO? Tell us in the comments!
