On August 21, Fear The Walking Dead will return with a bang after a massive mid-season finale that left our group scattered in pieces. First photos from the upcoming episodes show us that Nick remains on his own, while freshly made walkers lurk in plain sight. Scary.
It seems that we’re going to hit the ground running when Fear The Walking Dead returns for the second half of it’s second season. As you might remember, the show left off on a massive cliffhanger, and now we’ve got our very first look at new stills from the upcoming new episodes.
In one still, we see Nick still flying solo as he walks up an empty road towards the mountains. It’s unclear where he’s headed — further south or back up to the states — but you can just barely see that he’s still using walker blood to keep himself safe. Be honest, you never thought Nick would be the most talented at surviving in this crazy post-apocalyptic world when this show started!
Another still shows us a large group of walkers moving through a grassy hill. None of our cast members are featured, though that doesn’t mean they aren’t nearby. Hmm.
In the mid-season finale, almost everyone was split up into different groups when their Mexican compound burned to the ground. Nick wandered off solo into a group of walkers, Madison made a run for it with Alicia, Ofelia, and Victor, and last but not least, Travis and Chris disappeared together earlier in the day. Oh, and we can’t forget to mention that Daniel was missing, leaving Ofelia devastated. So, will we see any of these people reunite before it’s too late? I guess we will just have to wait and see!
Fear The Walking Dead is scheduled to return to AMC on Sunday nights, August 21. The second half of the season will lead up to the highly anticipated seventh season of The Walking Dead, in which viewers will finally learn who died at the hand of Negan. (Editor’s Note: I still think it was Abraham, and you can read all about my theory HERE.)
