Micah Johnson‘s mother, Delphine Johnson, 49, brother, Tevin Johnson, and sister, Nicole Johnson, were seen venturing out of the house for the first time since the brutal slayings in Dallas on July 7. The family was visiting the kids’ father, James Johnson, at his home in Garland, Texas. Micah, 25, is the accused sniper who killed five police officers and two Black Lives Matter protestors, and left seven more officers injured; he was subsequently killed by a bomb set off by the Dallas PD. The Johnson family was not happy to have Daily Mail Online up in their business on July 9, when the outlet took pics of the family exiting James’ house. Delphine and son Tevin walked to the car with hands over their faces, while Nicole did her best to ignore the cameras. See Daily Mail’s pics HERE
A reporter asked Delphine about the shooting while the family was attempting to get in their car and leave; she refused to answer, and simply said “get off my land.” A man inside the house, possibly ex-husband James, yelled at the crew from the front doorway, “get off my property.” The crew apparently followed the family back to their home in Mesquite, Texas, and the message was the same.
While Delphine and Tevin have not spoken out about the Dallas massacre, Nicole vocalized her support for her brother, posting on Facebook: “Please out of respect for my family, if you follow the news and now what’s going on. I’m not talking to anyone and please keep your comments [and] thoughts respectful. The news will say what they think, but those that knew him know this wasn’t like him. Only close family can call me. This is the biggest loss we’ve had.”
Micah’s Mesquite home was searched by police after the unspeakable tragedy. Investigators found bomb-making materials, ballistic vests, rifles, ammunition and a personal journal filled with combat tactics inside the house, according to Dallas PD. “He was upset about Black Lives Matter,” Dallas police chief David Brown said during a July 8 news conference. “He [said he] wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.” Micah wound up murdering members of BLM as well as police during his killing spree.
