Being in a fraternity isn’t all fun and games. Nick Jonas goes to the dark side in the intense first trailer of his new movie, ‘GOAT.’ Click to WATCH!
Nick Jonas, 23, and his fellow fraternity members push his younger brother to the brink in the first trailer for GOAT. The new movie gives everyone a disturbing look into the nasty and dangerous side of brotherhood.
If you’re thinking GOAT is going to be anything like Animal House, you’re wrong. The movie follows Brad (Ben Schnetzer), who pledges the same fraternity as his brother Brett (Nick Jonas). At first, it seems as if it’s going be nothing but fun and partying. But then the hazing begins.
The fraternity brothers push the pledges to their limits during Hell Week. It’s brutal, humiliating and wrong. Is this what “brotherhood” is really all about?
Brett tries to convince his brother that this treatment is totally normal. “I went through this myself,” he says to Brad. “They just do this to weed out the week ones.”
Eventually, the hazing starts to have a terrifying impact — physically and mentally — on Brad. In one dark moment, Brad slaps himself over and over in his car. Will Brad snap? Will Brett help his brother out?
The movie was showcased at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and scored excellent reviews among critics. GOAT hits theaters in New York and Los Angeles on Sept. 23, 2016. The movie also stars James Franco. GOAT is based on Brad Land’s real-life memoir.
Nick continues to pull triple duty with movies, TV and music. He’s currently on tour with Demi Lovato this summer, he starred on Kingdom and Scream Queens last year, and now there’s GOAT. Is there anything Nick can’t do?
