Chris Brown, 27, is extremely frustrating with the horrific shootings and violence that have taken place recently. Following the graphic video of Philando Castile being shot and killed by a police officer on Facebook Live, Chris took to his Instagram to rant about how society as a whole needs to change.
It’s not about the music, the concerts, or what anyone thinks about Chris Brown as a person. In his new Instagram video, the singer reveals how upset and heartbroken he is over the deaths of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling, as well as the violence that is plaguing America as a whole.
“Something’s gotta give, bro. It just has to,” Chris starts off, before ranting about how he doesn’t care about his celebrity status any more. “I’m getting pissed off about this sh-t. Regardless of however the f–k you view me or anybody else, us as a people need to start coming together and making our voice heard.”
“This sh-t is f–king horrible and it needs to f–king stop,” Chris ends the video. Watch his message below:
Shortly before the video was posted, Chris shared an image that listed victims of police brutality, including Trayvon Martin and Freddie Gray. Next to each name reads “no conviction.” Chris captioned the photo, “And you want us to be civil?”
Chris is not the only star to speak out about the deadly shootings on social media. Drake revealed that he was “scared” for his own safety, while actor and activist Jesse Williams declared Alton Sterling’s death a “public execution.”
