On any other day, Gareth Bale, 26, and Cristiano Ronaldo, 31, are the tightest of teammates on Real Madrid. However, they’re going face-to-face in the Euro 2016 championship, as Portugal clashes against Wales in a win-or-go-home match. Which one of these Real stars will advance to the Euro final?

Though these two teams each feature members of the reigning Champions League champions, Gareth insists it’s more than him versus Ronaldo. “It’s not about two players,” he told reporters ahead of the game, per BBC. “It is about two nations in a semi-final, 11 men against 11 men.” He’s right, as Ashley Williams, 31, Hal Robson-Kanu, 27, and Sam Vokes, 26, were the three players who netted the goals that put Wales over Belgium, 3-1, in the quarterfinals.
Cristiano and his squad didn’t have such an easy time when they faced Poland. The game was tied 1-1 and went into penalties, per Sports Illustrated. Ronaldo scored the first penalty kick – it was as easy throwing a reporter’s microphone into a lake – and from there, Portugal won, 5-3. Will they have better success with Wales or will it come down to the wire, yet again?
Soccer fans are eager to see what’ll happen. Portugal has been favorites to win the entire tournament since the beginning. With England pulled a “Brexit,” courtesy of Iceland, Wales is the U.K.’s last hope at Euro glory. However, the last game won’t be a walk in the park. The winner of this game meets either Germany or Italy. Wow. Either way, the Euro 2016 promised to be the best one yet!
