‘American Idol’ Season 13 finalist Jena Irene Asciutto has just premiered the music video for her beautiful song ‘You Gotta Help Me’, and you can WATCH it right here!
Jena Irene Asciutto, 19, is talented beyond her years, and we’re absolutely obsessed with her new music video, which premiered July 6. Read on to check out Jena’s gorgeous vid for her hit “You Gotta Help Me”!
“You Gotta Help Me” is a catchy, Sara Bareilles-esque track that showcases Jena’s incredible pipes (she was an American Idol finalist, after all!). In the video, the teenaged songstress plays a glossy black keyboard in the center of a desert highway, looking biker-chic in leather pants and shades.
The chorus is a sharp juxtaposition of an upbeat melody and potent lyrics. “I’m going to go, I’m going to see, the person who I want to be/And now I face, all the above, when I am falling out of love/No need to apologize, I can see it in your eyes, some will suffer sacrifice, I can’t afford to pay the price,” she croons. It’s a moody pop ballad at its core, and it deserves your attention.
We won’t ruin the whole thing, but as Jena puts it herself, “you gotta watch that sh*t”!

It features the tracks “Innocence”, “You Gotta Help Me”, “Numb”, “Wait” and “Unbreakable”, and Jena is super proud of her efforts. “I wanted to make an album that would tell my story, and that’s what it ended up being,” she has said about the EP.
