Jennifer Lopez, 46, joined forces with Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda, 36, for a powerful song called “Love Makes The World Go Round,” meant to inspire those who have suffered due to the tragic Orlando Pulse shooting. Not only that, the proceeds will directly benefit the victims and their families. JLo and Lin took to Twitter on July 4 with a preview of their super soulful duet, check it out here!
The behind-the-scenes clip shows JLo and Lin utilizing their vocal prowess in studio for the inspiring tune, which she called “very special.” We can see the Broadway actor showcasing his rapping skills with motivational lyrics, like: “I’m wide awake, ready to create everything I’ve imagined, hearts without any hate, crying for a change, causing a chain reaction.” It’s clear to see Jennifer and Lin were very involved in the project, supported by the Hispanic Federation. They both seem to share their ideas while passionately motioning with their hands as the upbeat jam plays.

Jennifer even goes au naturel for the clip as they prepare to share their message with the entire world. The pair also went in for a emotional bear-hug after making their musical magic. On Independence Day, they both shared the behind-the-scenes vid to serve as a teaser while we await it’s grand debut.
Lin tweeted, “Sooo @JLo & yours truly went in on a tune that will benefit [Somos Orlando] here’s a taste!” The organization, also under the hashtag “Somos Orlando” hopes to use music as a method to heal the nation and additionally, the Latino community, who made up 95 percent of those slain. Forty-nine people died and 53 were injured on June 12.
The benefits from Proyecto Somos Orlando “will address the long-term needs for mental health services that are culturally competent and bilingual” for victims of the Orlando shooting and their grieving families, according to the Hispanic Federation’s website. It continues: “They will be provided with case management, crisis intervention, and mental health services.” Beyonce, 34, and Justin Bieber, 22, are a few of the other celebs who have also paid tribute to those who lost their lives.
