Another day, another change on Facebook! The social media site announced on June 29 that its algorithm so news stories appear less in users’ feeds. But if you’re still interested in seeing posts from any media publishers you follow, just follow these easy steps!
It’s hard to keep up with all the changes Facebook makes, and the newest tweak to the site’s algorithm might mean HollywoodLife.com won’t appear in your news feed as often! How the heck will you keep up with all the latest breaking celebrity news?! Don’t worry — it just takes a few clicks of the mouse to ensure this doesn’t happen. Find out how here!
Alright here’s what you need to do: Head over to HollywoodLife’s Facebook page and, of course, first make sure the “Like” button is checked off. Click the “Like” button on your desktop (it’ll say “Following” on your phone) to bring up the drop down menu, and under the “In Your News Feed” section, make sure the option for “See First” is checked off.
This button will probably be on the “Default” setting, which is not what you want! And if you’re afraid you still might not see all the stories you’re hoping to, you can take things to the next level by hovering over the pencil button to the right of “In Your News Feed” and specifying when you want to be notified of certain posts.
The change to Facebook’s algorithm comes after users complained that too many news articles were appearing in their feeds, when they really wanted to be seeing more content from their friends. But if you are using the site to check out news, then making this change is definitely the move or you!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Facebook changing its algorithm again?
