Did somebody say PARTY?! July 4th is here, and we’re going to arm you with amazing cocktail recipes, guaranteeing you’ll be the most popular person at any Independence Day bash. Whether it’s the Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar’s Blackberry Bramble or one of Tres Papalote Mezcal‘s yummy concoctions, HollywoodLife.com has got you covered!
Tommy Bahama Restaurant’s Blackberry Bramble
1¾ parts Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin
¾ fresh lemon juice
1¼ part simple syrup
1 part fresh lime juice
1 part Lillet Blanc
Muddle 2 blackberries with lemon juice in a mixing glass. Add remaining ingredients with ice and shake well until chilled. Strain over fresh ice. For the Simple Syrup, combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar in a saucepan, bring to boil and simmer until sugar is fully dissolved, stirring frequently. Set aside to cool. Garnish with 2 fresh blackberries and lemon twist.
Red, White & Booze Shots Trio
1 oz. Tres Papalote Mezcal
3/4 oz. fresh strawberry puree
1/2 oz. fresh lime 3/4 oz. agave nectar
Shake until cold. Strain into a chilled shot glass. Place a strawberry ball on a toothpick to garnish.
1 oz. Tres Papalote Mezcal
.5 oz. coconut milk
.5 oz Combier Liqueur
Shake until until cold. Strain into a chilled shot glass. Dust cocoa on the rim of the shot glass.
1 oz. Tres Papalote Mezcal
3/4 oz. fresh blueberry puree
1/2 oz. pineapple puree
3/4 oz. agave nectar
Shake until cold. Strain into a chilled shot glass. Place 2 blueberries on a toothpick to garnish.
Stars and Stripes
1 bottle (50 ml) Jose Cuervo Tradicional
50 ml grapefruit juice
10 ml Campari
10 ml Fresh Lime Juice
10 ml Simple Syrup
Build the drink in an ice-filled mason jar, top with club soda and garnish with an orange slice.
SVEDKA’s Red, White & Boom
1 1/2 parts SVEDKA Vodka from the Limited Edition Party Bottle
1 part watermelon schnapps
1/2 part cranberry juice
1/2 part lemon juice
1/2 part simple syrup
1/4 part blue curaçao
Build in the glass. Add watermelon schnapps and cranberry juice over ice, then carefully add lemon, simple syrup, and SVEDKA as to layer the white layer, then VERY carefully layer the blue Curacao to create the color separation, and gently top with soda. Garnish with fresh watermelon pieces.
KIM CRAWFORD Wine’s Granita Freedom Cocktail
750 ml of grapefruit juice
750 ml (1 bottle) Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc
Pour juice and wine into a shallow plastic container, cover with plastic wrap and place in the freezer. Using a fork, stir the mixture every 30 minutes, breaking up the ice until granita is frozen (about 3 hours). Scoop into chilled coupe glasses. Garnish with edible flowers and serve with a dessert spoon.
Berry Explosive Raspado
4 parts Milagro Silver
1 part Fresh Lime Juice
2 parts Agave Nectar
4 Fresh Mint Leaves
6 dashes Peach Bitters
Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Fill two glasses with crushed or shaved ice and pour over. Top with raspberries and blueberries.
Boodles the Beautiful
1 bottle (50 ml) Boodles Gin
10 ml Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
10 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
1 can San Pellegrino Pompelmo
Build the drink in an ice-filled mason jar. Add the gin, liqueur and lemon juice, then top with San Pellegrino Pompelmo.
Fresh Picked Freedom
1 bottle (50 ml) Hangar 1 Vodka
20 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
20 ml Simple Syrup
Handful of Blueberries, plus more for garnish
6 Fresh Mint Leaves, plus more for garnish
Add the blueberries, mint, lemon juice and simple syrup into a mixing tin, give it a quick muddle, then add the vodka. Add ice and shake. Strain into an ice-filled mason jar and top with club soda and garnish with a mint sprig and some blueberries.
Red, White & Bluegrass State
2 parts Maker’s Mark® Bourbon
2–3 large blackberries
½ part raspberry liqueur
2 parts ginger ale
Muddle 2 or 3 large blackberries in an Old Fashioned glass with a splash of raspberry liqueur. Add in equal parts Maker’s Mark® Bourbon and ginger ale. Stir gently. Top off with ice.
A Fiery Ménage
1 ½ parts Ménage à Trois Triple Berry Vodka
¼ part cinnamon simple syrup
½ part lemon juice
¼ part wild berry syrup
5 parts dry sparkling wine (such as Ménage à Trois Prosecco)
Add all ingredients over ice. Shake and strain into a champagne flute, top with Champagne.
Clos Summer Sangria
1 orange, peeled, segmented and halved
1 cup strawberries, quartered
1 cup blueberries
1 bottle of Clos du Bios Pinot Noir
1/3 cup French orange flavored liqueur
The juice of one lemon
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and chill for three hours. Serve with ice.
3 parts Hornitos® Plata Tequila
Handful of fresh strawberries
Juice from 1 lime
2 teaspoons superfine sugar
1 cup club soda
Put strawberries in a small pitcher and mash to your desired consistency. Add juice, club soda, Hornitos® Plata and combine along with 4 good grinds from the pepper mill. Fill 2 glasses halfway with ice and divide drink among glasses.
1 part Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
3 parts Lillet Blanc
½ part fresh lemon juice
1 part pomegranate juice
3 parts seltzer water
Fresh pomegranate seeds
Build ingredients in a pitcher and stir to combine. Serve in a tall glass and garnish with raspberries, blueberries, and pomegranates.
1 part Pinnacle® Raspberry Vodka
2 parts Club Soda
Raspberries for garnish
Lemon wheel for garnish
Mix ingredients and serve over ice. Garnish with raspberries and a lemon wheel.
SIMI Sonoma County Dry Rosé Gelée
1 tablespoon + ¾ teaspoon unflavored gelatin (two packets)
1 cup water, divided
1 cup sugar
1 bottle SIMI Sonoma County Dry Rosé
Sprinkle the gelatin over ¼ cut of the water in a small bowl. Set aside for a few minutes to rehydrate. Combine the remaining water and the sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat. Add the gelatin to the sugar syrup and stir to dissolve. Combine with the wine in a medium mixing bowl or a 9-inch square baking pan. Refrigerate for 3 hours, until set. To serve, cut the gelée into cubes or break it into rough chunks, arrange in glasses or small bowls, and top with a little jam and whipped cream.
